2007 Dodgeville Historic Buildings Photo Contest
The commission was created in 1992 when the Dodgeville City Council adopted an historic preservation ordinance. The Commission's seven members are area citizens who have an interest in historic preservation. They are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council to promote and enhance Dodgeville through historic preservation. The Commission, and any advisors chosen by them, will judge the photos. Their decision is final.
While the subject of the photo must be a building, people incidental to the photo may appear. If the person(s) are recognizable, a release form must be signed. The Commission suggests you obtain their name and phone number. If your photo is chosen, the Commission will supply you with a release form. It will be your responsibility to obtain their signature.
One entry form must accompany each submitted photo. Label the back of each photo with your name, address, phone number and photo location. (Suggestion: Use a sticky back note or write directly on the photo with a "sharpie") Check one category:
